The two terms are the two sides of the same coin, success and failure.
It is the foundation of success. Hence, never fear failure! Instead embrace it and use it…
Deciding to Work Hard
(The opening step)Very often, we do make a decision so as to work hard or, to follow a particular schedule or a new timetable;or to start developing a new habit swapping an existing one; or to go on a daily exercise so as to lose some extra blubber; or anything Whenever we make such plans to bring a change in our lives, at first we are excited and filled with vim and cheer. We take the schedule seriously by the hands of the clock for the first few hours for the first few days. We complete the activities of the day enthusiastically.A vigorous “Beginning” is surely a spark that is must for the journey of success to begin. But whenever the wind changes its direction, it experiences resistance.
Encountering Risks
(Boulders that obstruct the way)Apart from a few who shall stand by your decision you would discover that your new decision to bring a change in you isn’t appreciated by many. People starting from the Family members and friends itself gossip about Mr.Gupta’s son/daughter(your) going insane building plans and maps for some impossible and fantasy-like things. People may laugh at you. They press you to such a position that you begin to self-doubt. Even your family is seldom too much by your side when you try to go beside the conventional. You begin to question yourself ,” Is taking a path that no body has ever taken a mistake? Should I back out? Why is it that the thing I used to love the most to do is not the one that is giving me content? Why is it stealing my image among the people who surround me? …”Slowly then the vim, the vigour, the energy evaporates and our pace of doing the work or keeping up with the timetable or the routine decelerates. You start running out of time.
The hands of the clock start to sprint and the clock turns nine before we are done with the work list in the line.
The half-done activities and unfulfilled short-time goals gather as a disappointment deep within us.
As a result …
And we finally give up.
- We give up on our dreams.
- We admit defeat from the challenges the life has to throw.
- We surrender ourselves to grief and accept it.
- We accept the opinion of the so called society
- We run after the people who don’t even appreciate our presence
- We cease making effort for an extraordinary life that could be.
- All we do is start following the crowd.
- We opt the easy path out of the two standing at the fork of life rejecting the other one that could have led to a completely different life.
Saving Yourself From The Risks
An easy path might save you from a great embarrassment. It might save you from the people who were standing against your decision to change and pulling you out of it. It might save you from being entitled insane or mad. It might really save you from almost all the risks.Even the risk of accomplishing your greatest desire. I can even guarantee what it will save you from is the risk, the risk of achieving the big, the extraordinary and the ‘Your Definition Success’. When we surrender, this is accompanied by what we called ‘regret’ in the future ! “The chance I wish i had taken then!” “Oh, I am sorry I didn’t believe in myself!””I wish I had explained what I meant!””I still hope I had got on that train!””I wish I had stuck on my decision!””If ever I get another chance I would spare anything but do it, but..!”….Consequently, You might lead a normal lifeand save yourself from ‘the risk’, the unusual/great life that could be if you endured the initial pain.If you are walking down the right path and you are willing to keep walking, eventually you’ll make progress.- Barack Obama
What you gotta do to be a Success ?
But to find a place in The Sun (be a success) what you gotta do is to… to not to stop.In our life, apart from the unconscious breathing something that is a silent comrade of most of us is dissatisfaction, discontent and fear. The fear of failing to hit the perfect life, the fear that time may slip by and you may pass by without touching your desire, an aversion of being too late to catch up with the numerous people who are already ahead of you, the fear of being stuck in this circle of not-so-joyous life, the nervousness to be unable to tell your beloved how much you wished to do, twitchiness or unease that surrounds you right from the beginning of the day, panic to reach the office on time to, …et cetera.Despite of the daily donkey-work schedule and the back-breaking effort we put in, we feel down-hearted and unsatisfied. And we ‘Quit’.
Do Not Quit.
Don’t give up. Even if it’s taking too long, even if you are facing a lot of pressure and a lot of difficulty; Even when the road to the end of the line, from where you start living successful-ness, is hazy or overcast;Just keep your goals in your sight and march towards your goal, pace in direction of your intent, your ambition without a halt. And this is the secret to success:Persistency and painful and strenuous hard work. Work hard. As James N. Watkins asserted,A river cuts through rock, not because of its power, but because of its persistence.Just keep going. Persist. Stay with the daily routine. Keep working at it even when it becomes dull and boring. Press on it again and again. Even if you reach ‘The limit’, keep going and a little more a little more…Do never accept No as answer from your body for the work that needs to be done. Push yourselves. Let no limits keep you in.“If you can’t fly then run, if you can’t run then walk, if you can’t walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.”― Martin Luther King Jr.
Capture each moment of the day
Begin to follow the desire in your heart as badly as you can. Do not ‘procrastinate’.First of all, accept the positive changes that you make day-to-day. Start working for it from the beginning of the day.And the very first thing you must do is ‘Getting up early in the morning’. Start your day afresh. Drink a glass of water as it is one of the best things you can do after you wake up. It fires up your metabolism, hydrates you, helps your body flush out toxins & gives your brain the fuel to get under way. Smile and begin your day. Be grateful for everything that you have got in this life already and begin your twenty-four-hour period, a full day. Capture each moment. Read something that talks about your dream and your aim in the very first hour. Make a list in the very first hour of the day about all the list of chores that you have to take during the day. Decide to fearlessly face all the challenges that you shall come across in the course of your day.
Make yourself proud
I give credence to the fact that life is what you make of it. I think one of the best questions you can ask yourself in the start of the day is, “What do you want your life to be all about?”You have this one life. How do you wanna spend it? apologising? regretting? questioning? hating yourself? Running after people who don’t see you? Or..Being brave. Doing what feels good. Taking risks. You have this one life. Make yourself proud. – quoted aptly And once you get there;Once you discover what exactly is the profession you want to take or the choice you must make. Then, stand there, exactly where you are, and make a firm decision to walk towards that goal. Put in it all the labour you can.Trace a blueprint. And, work hard to achieve it.
ShortCut to Success
The only Shortcut to success is realising that there isn’t any.Absolutely no such shortcut exists that will miraculously lead you to a destination called ‘Success’.Instead, you have to take the long cut to the journey called success. The basic and the most important requirements of this ultimate journey to luxury are Persistence and Failure.
I’ve missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I’ve been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I Succeed. –Michael JordanTherefore, Wear Your Failure As a Badge of Success. Because, failure is the proof of the fact that you are trying hard and working for your dream. The scars you acquire are the proof that you were brave and confident and stood up for your dreams.Failure is the condiment that gives success its flavour.-Truman Capote Work hard …All the best !
