Life is analogous to a game of chess apart from the fact that it can go for as long as years or may just last a few days or sometimes, even a few minutes.
After every move of the opponent, we get sort of a puzzle of pieces, to be solved. What the puzzle shall be might not directly be in our hands. But, how we respond to it that is by moving what piece, whether it’s a bishop or a rook or a pawn, is completely up to us. This then decides the turn that our game takes ahead of this move. Each move on our side has a major effect on what comes next and how our following game proceeds.
In fact, a single move is sometimes called a winning move and sometimes, on the contrary, a losing one.
The same is with our lives.
What we often call our destiny is nothing but a particular situation, analogous to a puzzle of chess that we face at each opponent’s move. Just that here the opponent is our life. Ironically, which is not so much against us. But, actually is on the same side. Life puts us in some sort of a circumstance at every moment, and we have to decide which piece we have to move, which action we have to take in that situation, or perhaps which way we have to choose out of the fork presented to us. Destiny doesn’t do all the work, it just brings unanswered questions, and unsolved puzzles to be solved our way, and how it then ends depends upon what we chose and what we move. Isn’t it merely akin to a game of chess?
Shatranj!
So when it comes to making firm decisions, don’t just sit back and blame destiny for presenting difficult situations, and never, never ever feel helpless. Instead, get ready to make a move, make a decision and take a step forward.
It’s this easy! Believe me. It won’t take years to build over yourself, but just a firm will to understand life and welcome it with open arms and free will.
These unanswered questions, these unsolved puzzles, these ups and downs that pass by you are Life.
You may have your own definitions and your own analogies for life. And I trust that all of those are true for you. Yes! Just find out a way through this maze of life, which way takes you out doesn’t matter in the end. But, if and only if you keep going, you will reach the end. And probably on the way, you might realise that this life is not a fix, my dear. It’s a beautiful experience. One that you especially came for, that you actually chose and incarnated for.
In case you are open to sharing, we are eagerly waiting to read your vivid analogies for life. 🎧

As your explanation was very explicit and clear
I was able to deduce the analogy in the game of football where also there is an opponent which is a team of a goalkeeper attacker’s defenders and even the audience sometimes and only due to the challenges given by the defenders i.e the opponent we grow and so it’s for our good only
Very dynamic game every second the player is constantly challenged by the defenders and one has to play or make choices one can make a short pass or long one sometimes either of the two is called the winning move which ends up in a goal
